ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE & ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD

The UGC mandates a zero-tolerance policy against ragging in all Higher Educational Institutions across India. Under the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, universities shall take strict preventive, and punitive measures against the menace of ragging. As mandated, the university has re-constituted two committees viz. Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad below:

a)Anti-Ragging Committee shall strategize to prevent ragging, conduct awareness programs, monitor the Anti-Ragging Squad, and decides appropriate disciplinary actions (e.g., suspension, withholding of results, or rustication) against those found guilty.

b)Students shall submit an online undertaking at www.antiragging.in. Students will receive a Reference ID, to be forwarded to their respective faculty Coordinator at the School level.

c)University shall conduct joint sensitization programs, divide freshers into small mentoring groups assigned to different faculties.

d)University shall prominently display contact details of the university authorities to be contacted by students on the posters put up at strategic locations. The poster shall also display national helpline numbers.

e)Operating under the guidance of the Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC), Anti-Ragging Squad (ARS), serves as the active, mobile and a vigilant squad to protect students on campus.
